Lexi Evans was named to the 2026 Academic All-America Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country First Team for NCAA Division I, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), on Wednesday. It is the second consecutive CSC Academic All-America award that Evans has earned, having been a member of the Academic All-America Third Team last season.
The Mustang pole vaulter is one of 15 members on the first team and a total of 45 Division I Academic All-Americans.
Evans, a senior majoring in aerospace engineering with a 3.92 GPA, is the eighth Mustang overall to be honored as an Academic All-American. The San Diego, Calif. product won a third-straight Big West title (4.37m/14’4”) and placed seventh at the NCAA Championships (4.49m/14’8.75”) in the pole vault this past spring. At nationals, Evans broke the Cal Poly school record and earned USTFCCCA All-America honors by virtue of placing in the top eight places.
Student-athletes must be in at least their second season, hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 and be an important contributor athletically to be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-District and All-America recognition.
