Cal Poly’s Caudillo Seventh in 1500m, Cal State Fullerton’s Dossman Seventh in 200m at Day Three of NCAA Track & Field Championships

Eugene, Ore. -- The Big West had two podium finishes on the third day of the 2026 NCAA Track & Field Championships, Friday at Oregon’s Hayward Field. Cal Poly’s Chris Caudillo was seventh in the 1500m and Cal State Fullerton’s Ian Dossman took seventh in the 200m.

Caudillo crossed the finish line in the 3.75 lap race in 3:38.06. The Mustang junior led for the first 1100m and hung on for a podium finish.

In the half-lap dash, Dossman sprinted a time of 20.24 to place on the podium.

CSUN’s Kyriaun Davis placed 20th in the discus throw with a mark of 57.26m/187’10”.

Friday also served as the first day of competition of the heptathlon. UC Irvine’s Joy Anderson sits in 10th, compiling 3511 points with 991 points in the 100m hurdles (13.91), 953 points in the high jump (1.78m/5’10”), 631 points in the shot put (11.54m/37’10.5”) and 936 points in the 200m (24.47). Fellow Anteater Jolie Robinson is in 24th with 3215 points after collecting 918 points in the 100m hurdles (14.43), 701 points in the high jump (1.57m/5’1.75”), 724 points in the shot put (12.95m/42’6”) and 872 points in the 200m (25.16).
