Big West Earns Seven Spots on 2026 USTFCCCA All-America First and Second Teams

The Big West took seven spots on the 2026 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America First and Second Teams. The announcement was made Monday on the USTFCCCA website.
 
Student-athletes of member institutions earned First-Team status by finishing among the top-8 of their events at the 2025 NCAA Division I Track & Field Championships. Second-Team All-America honors went to those student-athletes who finished between ninth and 16th place. Honorable mention went to those student-athletes who finished 17th through 24th in their respective events at Hayward Field.

The Cal Poly trio of Chris Caudillo, Lexi Evans and Travis Martin, Cal State Fullerton’s Ian Dossman, Long Beach State’s Ryan Gregory,  and UC Riverside’s Chelsea Aninyei earned First Team honors. Caudillo placed 15th in the men's 1500m with a time of 3:38.06. Evans set a new Big West record with a clearance of 4.49m/14'8.75" to place seventh. Martin took fifth in the men's hammer throw with a toss of 72.46m/237'9". Dossman was seventh in the 200m, crossing the line in 20.24. Gregory compiled 8001 points in the decathlon for a fourth-place performance. Aninyei took fifth in the women's triple jump with a conference-record mark of 13.52/44’4.25”. 

CSUN's Summer Mosley was named to the Second Team. Mosley placed 15th in the women's discus throw with a mark of 54.59m/179’1”.

The Big West filled up twelve spots on the All-America Honorable Mention list.
