Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Bakersfield and Hawai‘i Represented in 2026 Big West Track & Field Championships Athlete of the Meet Awards

With the conclusion of its 2026 Track & Field Championships, The Big West is proud to announce this year’s Athletes of the Meet. The awards were voted on by the league’s head coaches.
 
Cal State Fullerton’s Ian Dossman was tabbed as the Men’s Track Athlete of the Meet. The junior won double gold in the 100m and 200m sprint events to score 20 points for the Titans. Dossman broke meet record in the 100m with a time of 10.02 and was victorious in the 200m with a 20.20 effort.
 
Cal State Fullerton’s Keith Orona was selected as the Men’s Field Athlete of the Meet. The senior was second in the decathlon (7675), fourth in the high jump (2.04m/6’8.25”) and fifth in the javelin (61.81m/202’9”) to accumulate 17 points for the Titans.  
 
Cal State Bakersfield’s Makiah Parker was chosen as the Women’s Track Athlete of the Meet. The sophomore amassed a total of 20 points for the Roadrunners, winning the 100m (11.38) and was runner-up in the 200m (23.26), and helped the CSUB 4x100m relay team (45.25) to a second-place finish.
 
Lilian Turban of Hawai’i was picked as the Women’s Field Athlete of the Meet for the second consecutive year. The senior tallied 16 points across three events for the Rainbow Wahine, coming in second in the high jump (1.78m/5’10”), fourth in javelin (46.03m/151’0”) and sixth in shot put (14.61m/47’11.25”).
