Men's Track Athlete of the Week Abel Jordan, Cal State Fullerton | Senior • Madrid, Spain

• Cal State Fullerton's Abel Jordan won the 100m race at the Texas Relays to earn The Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week award. It is Jordan's second career weekly honor, having won it once in 2023.


• The Titan senior clocked a personal-best 10.12 in both the prelims and finals to win the event. The time ranks first in The Big West, third in the West Region and seventh in the country.


• Jordan also ran the second leg of the men's 4x100 relay, putting the team in second place with a time of 39.08 for a new school and conference record.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week Travis Martin, Cal Poly | Redshirt Senior • San Jose, Calif.

• Cal Poly’s Travis Martin won the hammer throw competition at the Stanford Invitational to claim The Big West Field Athlete of the Week honor. It is Martin's third career weekly honor, having won it once earlier this year and once in 2024.


• Martin recorded a lifetime best of 73.82m/242'2" to win the men's hammer throw invite at the Stanford Invitational on Saturday. The mark ranks No. 1 in the conference, No. 1 in the West Region, No. 2 in Division I and No. 28 in the world this outdoor season.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week Kaia Schmidt, UC Irvine | Junior • West Linn, Ore.

• UC Irvine’s Kaia Schmidt won the 3000m steeplechase race at the Triton Invitational to take home the Big West Women's Track Athlete of the Week recognition. It is Schmidt's first career weekly honor.


• The Anteater junior crossed the finish line in 10:16.88, a new school and stadium record. Schmidt’s time is tops in The Big West, 17th in the West Region and 26th in all of NCAA Division I this season.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week Lexi Evans, Cal Poly | Senior • San Diego, Calif.

• Cal Poly's Lexi Evans won the pole vault competition at the Stanford Invitational to collect the Big West Women's Field Athlete of the Week accolade. It is Evans' second career weekly honor from the conference, having won it once in 2025.


• The senior matched a season-best and Big West leading mark in the women's pole vault, clearing 4.26m/13'11.75" to place first in the invite section. The mark ranks No. 9 in the West Region and No. 14 in Division I this outdoor season.
