Charlie Forster of Long Beach State Claims Honorable Mention All-America Status

Big West Golfer of the Year and newly minted Arnold Palmer Cup team champion Charlie Forster has been named a NCAA Division I PING All-American honorable mention selection.

The senior from Winchester, England, is coming off a winning weekend at the Arnold Palmer Cup, taking home the title with Team International at Congaree Golf Club. Forster contributed to the international point tally winning a mixed fourball match with Canadian partner Lauren Kim of Texas by a final score of 2&1 and claiming a 4&3 victory in foursome play with San Diego State’s Justin Hastings of the Cayman Islands.

In the collegiate season, Forster closed the year ranked No. 33 in the country, winning two individual event titles during the 2024–25 campaign. Forster’s 196 (-20) performance at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic was good for a new Long Beach State program record. Led by the play of Forster all season long, the Beach recorded a three-peat at The Big West Championship to advance to a 12th NCAA postseason appearance in program history.

Competing in every event for Long Beach State this season, Forster posted a stroke average of 70.0 and finished the year at -45 to par, with a season-low round of 63. He finished in the Top 20 in 9 of 11 tournaments and recorded par or better in 23 of 33 total rounds.

Forster was also named an honorable mention All-American by Golfweek last week.
