USTFCCCA Release
The Big West took nine slots on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America First and Second Teams. The announcement was made Monday on the USTFCCCA website.
Student-athletes of member institutions earned First-Team status by finishing among the top-8 of their events at the 2025 NCAA Division I Track & Field Championships. Second-Team All-America honors went to those student-athletes who finished between ninth and 16th place. Honorable mention went to those student-athletes who finished 17th through 24th in their respective events at Hayward Field.

Rory Devaney, UC Santa Barbara’s
Brad Thomas and Cal Poly’s
Aidan McCarthy earned First Team honors. Devaney placed fifth in the men’s hammer throw with a personal-best and school-record mark of 74.16m/243’4”. Thomas was the runner-up in the decathlon with a total of 7,888 points. McCarthy took fifth in the 800m with a time of 1:46.88.

Ryan Gregory earned Second Team accolades. Martin placed 10th in the hammer throw with a toss of 68.31m/224’1”. Hornsby ran 13.53 in the 110m hurdles for 14th place. Flores took 14th in the 100m with a time of 10.19. Gregory compiled 7634 points in the decathlon for 14th place. Taylor cleared 1.79m/5’10.5” to earn 16th place. Miksic came in 12th place in the javelin with a throw of 70.13m/230’1”.
