Isaiah Emerson, Cal State Fullerton | Junior • Torrance, Calif.

  • Cal State Fullerton's Isaiah Emerson won the 400m and was part of a record 4x100m relay team at the Friday Night Lights meet to earn The Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week award. It is the Torrance, Calif. native's first career weekly honor. 
     
  • Emerson was a part of the Cal State Fullerton men's 4x100 team that clocked 39.23 to break the school record. The time is ranked first in The Big West, fifth in the West Region and 12th in NCAAs. 
     
  • The junior won the 400m with a lifetime-best of 46.89, good for fifth all-time in program history. The time is ranked fifth in the league. 
     
  • Emerson was second in the 200m with a time of 21.03, tied for seventh in the conference.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Javier Toro, Cal State Bakersfield | Senior • San Joaquin, Calif.

  • Cal State Bakersfield's Javier Toro won the hammer throw competition at the Friday Night Lights meet to claim The Big West Men's Field Athlete of the Week honor. It is Toro's first career weekly honor. 
     
  • Toro won the event with a personal-best toss of 64.88m/212'10", good for third in CSUB program history. The mark is fifth in The Big West and 20th in the NCAA West Region.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Mia Shepard, UC Santa Barbara | Freshman • Honolulu, Hawai'i

  • UC Santa Barbara's Mia Shepard won the 200m and 400m event at the UCSB Open to claim The Big West Women's Track of the Week award. It is the freshman's first career weekly honor. 
     
  • Shepard won the 400m by clocking a personal-best 54.15. The time ranks third in The Big West and 36th in the NCAA West Region. 
     
  • The Honolulu native was second in the 200m, crossing the line in 24.08. The time ranks fifth in The Big West. 
     
  • Shepard was also a part of the 4x100m relay team that ran a time of 46.87.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Jolie Robinson, UC Irvine | Senior • Mission Viejo, Calif.

  • UC Irvine's Jolie Robinson finished seventh out of 52 athletes in the heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Multi Event meet to earn The Big West Women's Field Athlete of the Week award. It is senior's second career weekly honor from the conference, having won it once last season. 
     
  • Robinson established a personal-record 5,489 points. The score ranks second in program history, first in The Big West, fifth in the West Region and 10th in the nation.
     
  • Robinson cleared a season-best 1.61m/5'3.25" in the high jump and established lifetime-bests in the 100m hurdles (14.33), 200m (24.78) and 800m (2:23.10). The two-time Big West heptathlon champion also registered marks of 5.93m/19'5.5" in the long jump, 12.33m/40'5.5" in the shot put and 37.00m/121'4" in the javelin.
