  • UC Santa Barbara's Manny Correia won an event at the Gaucho Relays to earn The Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week award. It is Correia's first career weekly honor from the conference.
     
  • The sophomore took first in the 2000m steeplechase with a time of 5:51.62

  • UC San Diego's Jaden Rucker won an event and came in second in another at the Riverside City College Invitational to claim The Big West Men's Field Athlete of the Week honor. It is Rucker's first career weekly honor from the conference.
     
  • The junior placed first in the long jump with a mark of 7.27m/23'10.25". 
     
  • Rucker was second in the triple jump with a 14.31m/46'11.5" performance.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Madeleine Conte, UC Santa Barbara | Redshirt Junior • Monrovia, Calif.

  • UC Santa Barbara's Madeleine Conte won two events at the Gaucho Relays to claim The Big West Women's Track of the Week award. It is Conte's first career weekly honor from the conference.
     
  • The redshirt junior won the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.31. 
     
  • Conte ran 13.90 to win the 100m hurdles as well.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Kennedy Johnson, UC Santa Barbara | Junior • La Verne, Calif.

  • UC Santa Barbara's Kenndy Johnson won an event at the Gaucho Relays to earn The Big West Women's Track Athlete of the Week award. It is Johnson's second career weekly honor from the conference, having won the award once last season.
     
  • The junior placed first in the triple jump with a mark of 12.71m/41'8.5". 
     
  • Johnson also placed fifth in the long jump with a 5.37m/17'7.5" effort.
