A deep and balanced field across the conference was recognized as the 2026 All-Big West Women’s Golf Team and major award winners were announced, with multiple programs earning top honors as voted on by the league’s head coaches following a competitive season.

Cal State Fullerton led all institutions with three First Team selections and the conference’s top individual honor, with 2024’s top golfer leading the way once again in 2026. Davina Xanh is the ninth student-athlete to earn multiple Golfer of the Year selections and is the first Titan with the distinction. In addition, Xanh joins the list of 10 four-time first-team honorees.

The senior from Weston Super Mare, England, put together one of the league’s most consistent seasons for the Titans. Ranked No. 1 in The Big West and inside the top 115 nationally, Xanh posted a 72.1 scoring average with five top 10s on the season and an individual medalist finish at the PING ASU Invitational this spring. Last week in Maui, Xanh put together a three-round score of 7-under 209 to finish in second for consecutive seasons.

Fellow seniors Kathi Zeilinger and Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith join Xanh on the All-Big West First Team. Zermeno Smith, last year’s Golfer of the Year, is making a repeat appearance on the First Team, with Zeilinger up from the honorable mention listings from a season ago. Junior Zara Ali also claimed honorable mention status after a top-five finish at The Big West Championship.

Cal State Fullerton head coach Kathryn Hosch repeated for coaching honors, earning Co-Coach of the Year after guiding the Titans to the top seed in the league and a No. 43 national ranking heading into the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship regional selections on Wednesday at 1 p.m. on the Golf Channel.

Hosch’s award was earned alongside Cal Poly’s Courtney Roberts, who helmed the Mustangs to the 2026 Championship title by six strokes. In a fourth season with Cal Poly, this is Roberts’ first Coach of the Year honor.

Mustang sophomore Nicole Koong earned a place on the All-Big West first team after four top 10 finishes on the season, including a fifth-place mark at the Championship to land on the All-Tournament Team. Fellow All-Tournament teammate Sarah Yoo was placed on the honorable mention listings.

Big West individual medalist Madison Le saved the best finish of her senior campaign for last, en route to All-Big West honors. The Garden Grove, Calif., native capped the year with a wire-to-wire win with an 8-under 208 at K’anapali Golf Course on Maui highlighted by a Long Beach State program record 9-under 63 to open the event. Earning The Big West’s individual exemption into the national postseason, Le will also be guaranteed to see her name on Wednesday’s regional listings.

Rounding out the first-team selections is UC Davis senior Lauren Calderon, who averaged 73.2 strokes per round with five top 10s on the season. The native of South Pasadena, Calif., is up from the second team listings for the past two seasons. The Aggies also see two second-team honorees in Yu “YoYo” Bai and Elina Kuang as well as honorable mention nods for Vani Karimanal and Michelle Ho

First-year player Ho also earned Freshman of the Year honors, the sixth Aggie to take home the award and the first since 2017. Ho emerged as one of The Big West’s top newcomers with a 74.4 scoring average and a Top 10 showing at the Leadership and Golf Invitational in her fall collegiate debut.

Additional second-team honors were bestowed on UC Riverside’s Mitzi Duarte, Katelyn Kong of UC Irvine and CSUN senior Gracie Piar. For Duarte, the award marks back-to-back second team nods. UCI’s Jenny Chang and Katherine Gerbing and Kim Turgut of CSUN complete the 2026 winners as honorable mention selections.
