Hawai‘i delivered a strong showing at the 2026 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships, with senior swimmer Holly Nelson and sophomore diver Lovisa Gustavsson representing The Big West on the national stage at Georgia Tech’s McAuley Aquatic Center.

Nelson competed in the 50-yard freestyle on Day 3, posting times of 22.28 and 22.38 while swimming in the opening heat. The 22.28 mark, an NCAA automatic qualifying time achieved at the Big West Championships, ranks among the top performances in program history. The Sydney, Australia native capped a standout campaign with three Big West titles, sweeping the 50 free (22.28) and 100 free (48.67) while helping set a conference record in the 200 free relay (1:29.39).

Gustavsson competed in the 3-meter dive with a 290.40 score in six dive afterqualifying with a third-place finish at the NCAA Zone E Championships, where the sophomore totaled 606.10. The 290.40 mark qualified as 26th overall. Back at the conference meet, the Gothenburg, Sweden native notched a conference-record performance in platform diving (269.70).

The duo marked a milestone for the Rainbow Wahine, as Hawai‘i sent both a swimmer and diver to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2019.
