Final Results (Women)
HOUSTON, Texas — Hawai'i maintained the top postion of the team leaderboard with 560 points after the third day of competition at the 2026 Big West Women's Swimming & DivingChampionship from CRWC Natatorium.
A notable performance for the Rainbow Wahine came in the women's 3-meter diving event, as
Macie Wheeler repeated at the top of the podium with a score of 352.70. Teammates
Keira Chandler and
Lovisa Gusstavson placed second and third with scores of 308.00 and 292.15, respectively, to give UH a big boost to the tally.
The 400 individual medley saw
Ella Ackerman of UC Davis emerge victorious with a time of 4:15.47, earning the Aggies their first-ever gold finish in The Big West Swimming & Diving Championships.
Sydney Niles, representing UCSD, finished second in 4:15.98, and UH's
Carlotta Ingenerf completed the podium in 4:16.05.
UC San Diego took event wins in the remaining five of the seven events contested on Friday.
In the 100-yard butterfly, UCSD's
Eva Boehlke topped the standings after touching the wall in 52.79 seconds. 2025 champion
Makena Leacox from UC Santa Barbara followed closely, finishing in 52.91 seconds, while
Holly Nelson of Hawai'i secured third in 53.46 seconds.
Asia Kozan topped the standings in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:45.52, and
Chloe Braun went back-to-back in the 100 breaststroke at 58.95, as the duo both punched their tickets to the 2026 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. The 100 backstroke crown went to
Maddie O'Connell at 53.81 as the Tritons claimed four individual titles on Friday.
Closing the evening with the 400-yard medley relay, UCSD secured first place with a time of 3:35.48. The new Big West Championship record saw Boehlke pick up a third top finish of the meet, alongside teammates and individual event victors Braun, O'Connell and Kozan. UC Santa Barbara followed in second with a time of 3:38.23, and the UH's time of 3:39.32 registered in third.
Hawai'i closed the penultimate night securely in first and 110 points clear of second-place UC Davis, followed by UCSD and last year's team title-winners UCSB.
The final day of racing is set to start at 10 a.m. CT/8 a.m. PT with the Championship session taking center stage beginning at 6 p.m. CT/4 p.m. PT. Seven more event champions along with the team title-winners, will be crowned on Saturday from Houston.
