The 64-team field for the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship bracket was revealed on Monday, and UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara will represent The Big West in the national tournament. The announcement was made Monday on the NCAA Men’s Tennis Selection Show on NCAA.com.

UC Irvine (18-5) will play at No. 6 seed San Diego (24-3) in the first round. The victorious team will play the winner of USC (14-10) and Arizona State (12-11), also being hosted at San Diego’s Hogan Tennis Center.

UC Santa Barbara (18-4) drew UCLA (15-8) in the first round, hosted at No. 11 seed Cal’s Hellman Tennix Complex. The winner of that match will either face the Golden Bears (18-4) or Boise State (21-5) in the second round.

UC Irvine will make its second straight and 13th overall appearance in the national tournament. The Anteaters punched their ticket by winning the 2025 Big West Men’s Tennis Championship, earning the conference’s automatic qualifier into the NCAAs. The Anteaters are ranked No. 49 in the latest ITA rankings (April 22) and finished second in The Big West regular season with a 5-1 league mark. Last season, UC Irvine fell to TCU in the opening round, 4-0.

2025 will be the 17th time in program history that the Gauchos will play in the NCAA Championship. The Gauchos earned an at-large bid by winning The Big West regular season title with an undefeated (6-0) record in conference play. UCSB is ranked No. 34 in the latest ITA rankings (April 22). In its last NCAA Tournament appearance in 2023, UC Santa Barbara fell to San Diego by a score of 4-1 in the opening round.
