Program Record for LBSU's Charlie Forster Results in Season's Final Golfer of the Month

  • 8042Long Beach State senior Charlie Forster took home a second Big West Golfer of the Month of the season, and a third career award to close out 2024-25's selections.  

  • The Winchester, England, native set a new LBSU program record with a 54-hole score of 196, 20-under par at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club to usher out March and open the month of April.  

  • After a first round 67, Forster closed the second round with a 65 and was one better in the final round, finishing with an 8-under 64. Forster rolled in nine birdies and an eagle on the Par 4 14th on the way to both individual and team titles at the event. 

  • In the team battle, the Beach captured the title with a three-round total of 37-under, 827. The score was 14 strokes better than nearest competitor Iowa State. 

  • Forster enters the upcoming 2025 Big West Championship ranked 30th nationally, leading LBSU to a conference-best 22nd team ranking.
