All-Time All-Big West Teams >>>
Headlined by the individual medalist Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith of Cal State Fuller
ton, the 2024-25 All-Big West Team has been unveiled as voted on by the league's nine head coaches.

Zermeno Smith capped off a spectacular junior year with the league's top honor after anchoring the Titans' historic championship run at Spanish Trail Country Club. The bogey-free 65 in the second round of the Big West Championship was the lowest score of the tournament and emblematic of calm under pressure. Along with the team and individual Championship victories, the native of Covina, Calif., also claimed the individual title at the UC Riverside Soboba Classic this season and finished with a 72.4 scoring average.

Titans' teammate Davina Xanh, the 2023-24 Golfer of the Year, joins Zermeno Smith on the All-Big West First Team with a consistent junior season. A runner-up finisher at The Big West Championship, Xanh turned in five Top-5 performances on the season and heads into the national postseason averaging 72.3 strokes per round.

From Long Beach State, Jasmine Leovao was one of the most dynamic players in the conference this season. The junior not only led The Big West in national ranking but also posted a 71.9 scoring average — the lowest among all Big West golfers. Leovao finished strong at The Big West Championship to climb to third on the individual leaderboard and earn a third All-Big West First Team nod after winning the league's postseason event in the previous two iterations.

Another first-team standout is senior Abby Leighton of UC Davis, who proved to be a pillar of consistency for the Aggies. Leighton turned in an individual champion performance at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic in the fall, one of two top 10 results of the season. Leighton helped the Aggies surge into second place in The Big West Champions with a final-round 71 to cap the collegiate career for the Santa Rosa, Calif., native. This is a second first-team honor, also earning the award in 2022. Leighton is up from the honorable mention listings from the last two seasons.

Jensen Jalufka, a redshirt senior from Cal Poly, is a repeat honoree on the All-Big West First Team for the Mustangs. The product of Austin, Texas, finished in the top five in five events this season, averaging 72.9 stokes per round to lead the Cal Poly lineup.

Rounding out the first team is Alona Avery, the precocious freshman from UC Irvine who also earned Big West Freshman of the Year honors. Avery wasted no time making an impact in the debut season, posting a 73.2 scoring average and registering several top-10 finishes against strong regional competition. Avery is the third UC Irvine freshman honoree, and the first since 2011.

Cal State Fullerton's Kathryn Hosch was named the Big West Coach of the Year after guiding the Titans to a historic breakthrough in 2024-25. In just a second season at the helm, Hosch led Fullerton to its first-ever Big West women's golf championship, capping off a season that saw the program consistently ranked among the league's top contenders.

The second team sees representation from four schools including a junior pair from UC Davis in Lauren Calderon and Skyler May, and Long Beach State junior Janae Leovao. Underclassment Mitzi Duarte of UC Riverside and UC Irivne freshman Katherine Gerbing round out the list of five honoees.
