UC San Diego's Chloe Braun Selected to Compete at NCAA Championships

Chloe Braun of UC San Diego was selected to the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship field, set to become the Tritons’ first Division I entrant into the national postseason.

Braun, a junior from Toulouse, France, earned entry into the field in the 100 yard breaststroke after taking home The Big West title in the event on Feb. 14. Braun enters the national postseason with a mark of 59.14 seconds, set in the preliminary rounds in Houston just under three weeks ago. In the finals, Braun raced to the top of the podium and finished in 59.75. The pair of sub-one minutes swims were a first for Braun, who set a new personal best while achieving the NCAA B cut.

She was also a gold medalist in the 200 yard medley relay in the first Big West event contested in 2025, as the Tritons finished with a conference championship record time of 1:37.71. Braun also claimed second at the Championships in the 200 yard breaststroke.

Braun enters the NCAA field with the 25th-fastest time in the event and will be the first UC San Diego swimmer to compete in the Division I Championships field in program history.

The championships will be held March 19-22 at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center Federal Way, Washington. ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. Tape-delayed coverage of the women’s championships will be on ESPNU at 7 p.m. Eastern time, Wednesday, March 26.
