Kyle Brill Brings Home First Weekly Honor of Career After Breaking UCSB Record

Kyle Brill claims The Big West’s Men’s Swimming & Diving Athlete following a stellar performance that set a program record at the UC Santa Barbara Invite this past weekend. Brill becomes the first Gaucho to boast a weekly award this year on the men’s side.

The senior celebrated a pair of first place finishes against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the 200 Breast (1:45:37) and re-wrote the UCSB record book with a 3:45.46 finish in the 400 IM.

Brill brought home a second-place effort in the 200 IM (1:45.37) and clocked a time of 23.95 relay in the 50 Breast to end the highlight for the Gauchos.
