With the conclusion of the 2024-25 Big West Swimming & Diving season, the conference is proud to announce this year's major award winners.

Asia Kozan takes the cake as The Big West Women's Swimmer of the Year to honor UC San Diego.

Kozan collected a top finish at the podium each day of competition at The Big West Swimming & Diving Championships. On day one, Kozan and company notched a gold medal in the 800 Freestyle Relay. From there, the sophomore secured a trio of first place finishes as the days ensued in the 200 IM (1:57.67, BW record), 400 IM (4:13.83) and 100 Freestyle (48.47, BW record).

Macie Wheeler managed to sweep both awards for Diver and Freshman Diver of the Year for the Rainbow Wahine.

The Adelaide, Australia native achieved a first-place finish in all three categories of Diving events at The Big West Swimming & Diving Championships. Wheeler recorded the top mark in the 1M (307.90), 3M (367.30) and platform (367.30) to take home the crown in all three finals events. The freshman is the first member of the Rainbow Wahine to be crowned conference champion in all three diving events since 2016.

Brandon Blaisdell coached Wheeler to success this season and has received the Co-Diving Coach of the Year designation alongside Phil Tonne of UC Davis. Tonne helped score all eight divers to points and came away with a silver and two bronze finishes in the diving events of the Championships.

UC Santa Barbara's Miranda Stevenson makes way as the Freshman Swimmer of the Year for the 2024-25 season.

Stevenson shined bright from the beginning, claiming Athlete of the Week during the award's first rendition of the year on Oct. 8. The freshman finished second place in the 50 Free and 100 Free finals to help UCSB finish its team score at 773.5 points, good enough for the conference crown.

Jaclyn Rosen led the Gauchos to the women's team title, earning the nod as The Big West Women's Swimming Coach of the Year.

Rosen aided five student athletes on the women's side to gold finishes in this year's Championships while also coaching the Big West Athlete of the Week a record six times this season.

The top three finishers in each event at The Big West Swimming and Diving Championships are designated as All-Conference.
