Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week Omar Elsayed, GCU | Sophomore • Cairo, Egypt

• Grand Canyon senior Omar Elsayed swept a pair of events to earn The Big West Men’s Swimming & Diving of the Week honors after a standout showing at the Air Force Invitational. This is the first weekly distinction of Elsayed’s career. 

• Elsayed claimed the 3-meter title with a score of 409.80 points, pacing the field with consistent execution throughout the final. The sophomore added another victory on the platform with 389.95 points, marking the top total of the weekend.

• Rounding out the impressive performance, Elsayed secured second place on the 1-meter with 336.40 points, finishing just behind the event winner.
