Golfer of the Month (September) Davis McDowell | Senior • San Rafael, Calif.

• After starting the season off with an individual title, UC San Diego’s Davis McDowell has been named Big West Golfer of the Month for September. 

• The senior from San Rafael, Calif., missed nearly the entire 2024-25 campaign, but came back on fire to win the Ram Masters Invitational wire-to-wire. 

• McDowell put together rounds of 65, 69 and 70 for the 6-under-par 204 finish to capture the title and help the Tritons to a fifth place team finish in the field of 16 Sept. 11-12. 

• McDowell also fired up a fifth-place showing at the Falcon Invite Sept. 20-22, highlighted by a second-round score of 7-under 65. As a team, UCSD closed the event in third place in the 22-team field.  

• This marks McDowell’s first career monthly honor and the first for a Triton men’s golfer.
