Bekzhan Yessengeldy brings home The Big West's Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week after helping the Tritons wrap up their regular season with a win against California Baptist. This is the first weekly distinction of Yessengeldy's collegiate career.

The San Diego, Calif. native nabbed a pair of first place finishes in the 100 Breast (1.59.94) alongside the 200 IM, clocking in a time of 1:50.09.

A third-place finish in the 100 Breast at 55.74 to wrapped up the freshman’s day in competition against the Lancers. Overall, Yessengeldy earned 23 points for UCSD during the meet.
