CSUN's Chase Mars was part of two wins at the Vince O'Boyle Classic to claim the Men's Track Athlete of the Week honor. It is the first career weekly honor for Mars.

The junior won the 200m with a meet record and personal-best time of 20.73. It is also the third-fastest in school history and currently ranks third in The Big West, 17th in the West Region and 37th in the nation.

The Chino Hills, Calif. product was second in the 100m, running a lifetime-best 10.30. It is the third-fastest time in school history and currently ranks second in The Big West, 19th in the West Region and 59th in the nation.

Mars was also a member of the winning 4x100m relay team that clocked a school record time of 39.29. The time currently ranks second in The Big West, sixth in the West Region and 10th in the nation.
