• Cal Poly's Aidan McCarthy won the 1500 at the Oxy Invitational to earn The Big West Track Athlete of the Week accolade. It is McCarthy's second time this season, third career, that he has earned the conference's track weekly honor.
• The sophomore obliterated a 45-year-old school record in the men's 1,500-meter and broke the Oxy Invitational meet record in the event, crossing the line at 3:39.56 to place first. It is currently the fastest time in The Big West, 14th in the region and 28th nationally.

• CSU Bakersfield's Thomas Richardson won the shot put competition at the Oxy Invitational to claim The Big West Men's Field Athlete of the Week distinction. Richardson is a first-time weekly honoree.
• The junior won the shot put with a mark of 16.51m/54'2". Richardson's seasonal-best throw of 17.16m/56'3.75" ranks sixth in The Big West.
• The Shafter, Calif. native also competed in the hammer throw with a 54.87m/180'0" performance.
