• UC San Diego senior Jake Selstad ran 1:49.47 in the 800 at the Occidental Invitational to earn The Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week honor. 

• The time was a personal best, a school record and ranks second in the conference.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week 
Graduate Student • Ventura, Calif.

29239• Long Beach State graduate student Charlie Vernoy recorded a personal-best mark in the hammer throw and a seasonal-best in the discus at the Titan Tune-Up to claim The Big West Men's Field Athlete of the Week award. 
 
• Vernoy took second place in the hammer throw with a personal-best distance of 63.83m/209'5". The mark ranks second in the conference and 26th in the region. 

• The Ventura, Calif. native took fourth overall, second among collegiate athletes, and produced a seasonal-best mark in the discus of 58.38m/191'6". The throw ranks third in the conference and 12th in the region.

Lizzie Dolan, UC San Diego 
Women's Track Athlete of the Week 
Junior • McKinleyville, Calif. 

29236• UC San Diego junior Lizzie Dolan set a personal-best in the 100 hurdles and helped the 4x100 relay to a seasonal-best time at the Titan Tune-Up to earn The Big West Women's Track Athlete of the Week honor. 

• Dolan won the 100 hurdles with a personal-best time of 14.24. 

• The junior from McKinleyville, Calif. also ran the first leg of the 4x100 relay that produced a time of 46.82.

Malia Talavou, Long Beach State 
Women's Field Athlete of the Week 
Junior • Bellflower, Calif. 

29237• Long Beach State junior Malia Talavou won the shot put with a personal-best throw of 14.77m/48'5.5" at the Titan Tune-Up to take home the Big West Women's Field Athlete of the Week award. 
 
• Talavou's mark ranks second in the conference and eighth all-time in Beach program history.
