PLAYER OF THE YEAR • HUNTER EPSON, LONG BEACH STATE
Senior • Long Beach, Calif. • Wilson HS
• Is just the second Player of the Year winner in program history and first since 1982 (Mike Miles).
• Compiled a 70.8 stroke average across seven tournaments this season.
• Was top finisher for the Beach in four of the seven tournaments he played in this season.
• Had eight rounds under 70 this year including his season-low round of 67 at the Sacramento State Intercollegiate.
• Finished with fewer than 210 strokes across 54 holes in twice.

TRI-FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR • GARRETT BOE, CAL STATE FULLERTON
Clovis, Calif. • Buchanan HS
• First Titan player to win Freshman of the Year in program history.
• Across six tournaments, compiled a 72.7 stroke average and shot a low round of 68.
• Finished third in season-opening Orange County Classic, finishing 1-under for the tournament.
• Finished third in first Big West Championship, shooting a low round of 68 on the way to a 2-under for the tourney.
• Had a 74.3 scoring average in the pandemic shortened 2020 campaign.

TRI-FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR • CLAY SEEBER, LONG BEACH STATE
Clovis, Calif. • Buchanan HS
• Fifth player to win Freshman of the Year award in program history and second straight honoree.
• Top finisher for the Beach in three tournaments, including a second-place showing at the Big West Championships.
• Shot four rounds under 70 including a team low-tying 66 at the Sacramento State Intercollegiate.
• Was either lowest or second-lowest scorer for the Beach in five tournaments.
• Played nine rounds in pandemic shortened 2020 season, recording a 73.2 stroke average and a low round of 70.

TRI-FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR • JACOB WESTBERG, UC DAVIS
Sacramento, Calif. • Inderkum HS
• Fourth Aggie to take home Freshman of the Year and the third since 2016 (Ryan Knop - ‘16, Thomas Hutchison - ‘18).
• Finished with a 72.7 stroke average across 18 holes in six tournaments, posting a low of 67.
• Best finish was a tie for sixth at the El Macero Classic.
• Had three rounds in the 60s and six rounds under par.
• Appeared in seven tournaments in the pandemic shortened 2020 season, finishing with a 73.9 stroke average and a low round of 70.

COACH OF THE YEAR • MICHAEL WILSON, LONG BEACH STATE
• First career Coach of the Year honor and seventh in LBSU history.
• Led the Beach to its first Big West title since 2004 and just the third in conference history.
• Under his leadership, Long Beach State posted four top five finishes as a team on the season and 21 individual rounds under 70.

The league also announced the All-Conference lists, highlighted by six golfers on the first team. Epson and THOMAS HUTCHISON of UC Davis are repeat members of the first team. They are joined by Seeber, Boe, BLAKE BROTHERS of CSUN and 2021 Big West individual champion LUCAS CARPER of UC Davis. The full list is available in the link above.
