2021 Big West Women's Golf Championship Final Individual Results

Entering the day just one stroke off the lead, Cal Poly surged ahead in the final round of play to win the 2021 Big West Women's Golf Championship.

The Mustangs (+5, 869) claimed just the second title in program history and first since 2017. The club won the title by two strokes over UC Davis (+7, 871), the slimmest margin of victory since that 2017 Cal Poly team won by one stroke over UC Riverside.

Third place in the team standings went to Long Beach State (+9, 873), while round one and two leader UC Irvine (+11, 875) settled in fourth. Fifth place was UC Riverside (+21, 885), sixth place was host Cal State Fullerton (+41, 905) and seventh was Hawai'i (+50, 914). CSUN (+64, 928) and CSU Bakersfield (+95, 959) rounded out the team leaderboard

The individual title went to Long Beach State as Holland Shourds final round 1-under 71 claimed the title by one stroke over Cal Poly's Caroline Cantlay and UC Irvine's Megan Yang. Shourds (214) shot 70-73 in her first two rounds on the way to the crown, making her the third straight Beach golfer to win top medalist honors. Her back nine in the final round was a steady effort as she birdied 10, 12, 14 and 17, while coming away with par on the 499-yard 18th. Shourds, who entered the final day in third place, actually teed off earlier than the runner-ups who competed together in the day's final pairing.

The trio of golfers were the lone competitors to shoot under par during the duration of the tourney at Yorba Linda Country Club. Five golfers shot 1-over 217 for the tournament in Long Beach State's Angelina Kim, Cal State Fullerton's Brittany Shin, UC Riverside's Vanessa Betancourt and a pair of UC Davis teammates in Jackie Lucena and Andrea Gomez Lloret. Madison Wood of UCD was ninth at +2, while 10th was split between UC Irvine's Cameron Lee and Cal Poly's Vanessa Wang at +3.
