The first weekly awards in the month of April had a Cal Poly feel to them as the Mustangs claimed three of the four awards.
The program swept the men's accolades as Jamison Jordan (Men's Track) and Dan Erdman (Men's Field) were honored, while Leanne Fogg won the Women's Track award to close out the Cal Poly recipients. The remaining weekly award went to a previous winner as Chidinma Onyewuenyi of UC Davis won the Women's Field accolade.
Jordan, a freshman from Camarillo, Calif., won the 100 (10.67) and 200 (21.59) at the Cal Poly Invitational. He also was a part of the winning 4x100 relay contingent, while helping the 4x400 relay to a second place showing.
Fogg, a junior from Santa Rosa, Calif., won the 1500 at the Cal Poly Invitational, crossing the finish in 4:27.37. It was a PR for Fogg by seven seconds.
Erdman, a junior from Healdsburg, Calif., took home first place in the shot put at the Cal Poly Invitational, recording a mark of 55-06 (16.92m). It is the top effort in the Big West so far this season.
Onyewuenyi, a senior from Gilroy, Calif., finished first in the hammer and shot put, and finished second in the discus at the Causeway Classic Dual. She recorded an effort of 187-03 (57.08m) in the hammer, 50-04.5 (15.35m) in the shot and 136-10 (41.72m) in the discus.
