UC Irvine All-American Charles Jock added to his record-setting 2010 outdoor track & field season over the weekend, winning the 800 at the North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) U-23 Track & Field Championships in Miramar, Fla.

Competing with Team USA, Jock won the race in 1:45.65, setting the Anteater record in the event for the fifth time this season. The mark also eclipsed the NACAC meet record of 1:48.19 set by Canada's Achraf Tadili in 2002.

In winning the race by over two seconds, the 2010 Big West Men's Athlete of the Year, broke his previous school record (1:46.17) that he set in the semifinals of the 800 at the NCAA Championships last month in Eugene, Ore. The rising junior initally broke the record of former UCI great and Olympian Steve Scott back in March, a 32-year old mark.

The NACAC under-23 meet includes athletes representing 32 member nations from the following countries: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Montserrat, Netherlands Antilles, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, El Salvado, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Turk and Caicos Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the United States.
