The winners after day one of the 2010 Big West Multi Championship held on for the victories as Cal State Northridge's Robert Robinson and UC Santa Barbara's Barbara Nwaba claimed the decathlon and heptathlon titles, respectively.
Robinson claimed the title with 7,526 points. On day two he came away with a first place finish in the 110 hurdles (14.59 - 900 pts.), second place finish in the discus (39.65m - 657 pts.), second place in the pole vault (4.46 - 746 pts.), seventh place in the javelin (45.59m - 524 pts.) and a sixth place showing in the 1500 meter run (4:45.35 - 629 pts.). Nicholas Armstrong of Long Beach State finished second with 7,224 points, while CSUN's Lance Gonzales was third with 6,995 points.
Nwaba nabbed her championship with 5,552 points. Following her day one results, she was able to finish fifth in the long jump (5.54m - 712 pts.), third in the javelin (34.71m - 566 pts.) and third in the 800 (2:17.80 - 854 pts.). Cal State Northridge's Desirae Gonder was second with 5,512 points, while her teammate Shelese Ruffin finished third with 5,132 points.
