Two schools came away with this week's edition of the Big West track & field awards as UC Davis and UC Santa Barbara were the big winners of the accolades.

The Aggie winners were both on the track side of the ledger as Russell Pfaff and Sirena Williams garnered the men's and women's Track Athlete of the Week award, respectively.

Pfaff, a sophomore from Clovis, Calif., finished 2nd in the steeplechase during the university/open section in 8:48.81 at Brutus Hamilton Invitational at California. His time, which was just .26 behind the winner, barely missed UC Davis school record of 8:48.54, is an NCAA Regional qualifier and the ninth-best time in Division I so far this season.

Williams, a junior from Fresno, Calif., finished 11th in the 400 hurdles in the university/open section with a time of 1:04.63 at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational at California. She also put up a fifth place finish in the 100 hurdles in the university/open section with a time of 13.79. Williams broke her own school record in the 100 hurdles for the second straight week.

Scott Anderson was the Gaucho winner of a weekly award as he took home the Men's Field Athlete of the Week honor.

Anderson, a senior from San Luis Obispo, Calif., finished second at the Oregon Relays in the shot put with a mark of 57-7.50 (17.56m). His effort improved upon his previous NCAA Regional qualifying toss.
