With about a month and a half remaining until the Big West Track & Field Championships, the league's track & field clubs enter the first of many busy weekends in April looking to ready themselves for the league’s showcase event.

For the first time all season, all eight Big West track & field teams will be in action during the same weekend. The action begins prior to the weekend as Cal Poly, Cal State Northridge and UC Davis will be in action. The Mustangs and Matadors head to the Lone Star State for the Texas Relays, while the Aggies take on the field at the UC Multi-Events Meet.

The destination of choice for the league's clubs this weekend will be Stanford, Calif., as seven teams will participate in the 34th annual Stanford Invitational. Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara will convene at Cobb Track and Angel Field for the eagerly anticipated meet which features some of the top programs and athletes from around the country.
