Cal Poly checks in with three press conferences, from track & field, women’s basketball, and men’s basketball this week. In her first press conference of the year, Track & Field Director Terry Crawford talks about the beginning of the 2008 season, as her men’s and women’s teams head to south to the UCLA Invitational this weekend. Crawford, who was inducted into the
University of
Texas Women ’s Hall of Fame last November, has high hopes for this year’s teams. The Mustangs will compete on Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8, in the first of four meets for them in the month of March.
Head women’s basketball coach Faith Mimnaugh discusses her team’s 54-52 victory at UC Riverside last week, as well the race for the fourth seed in next week’s Big West Conference Tournament. At 7-7 in conference play, the Mustangs are a half-game behind Pacific for that four seed, which would give them a bye in the tournament. Catch them on Thursday, March 6 against

Men’s basketball head coach Kevin Bromley and his team travel to Long Beach and Northridge this week to face the 49ers (Thursday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m.) and the first-place Matadors (Saturday, March 8 at 5:00 p.m. on FSN Prime Ticket). Coach Bromley discusses this week’s road trip and next week’s Big West Conference Tournament in his latest press conference. The Mustang men are currently in sixth place in the conference standings.
