The Big West tips off the 2026-27 basketball season with six hours of live interviews, conversation and analysis when the Big West Men’s and Women’s Basketball Previews return to The Field of 68 on Thursday, October 1. 

With California Baptist, Sacramento State and Utah Valley joining the conference, the new-look 12-member Big West takes center stage as coaches and student-athletes from throughout the league provide an inside look at their teams and the season ahead. 

The 2026-27 Big West Men’s Basketball Preview, presented by Credit Union 1, will air live from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Pacific on The Field of 68’s YouTube and social media channels. Jeff Goodman and Richie Schueler will visit with all 12 Big West men’s head coaches and select student-athletes during the three-hour program. 

The 2026-27 Big West Women’s Basketball Preview, presented by Credit Union 1, will follow from 1-4 p.m. Pacific. Tracy Warren and Tammy Blackburn will host interviews with all 12 Big West women’s head coaches and select student-athletes while providing analysis of the teams and players to watch this season.

Launched in 2020, The Field of 68 has established itself as one of college basketball’s leading digital media platforms, delivering year-round coverage, analysis and conversations with the coaches, players and personalities impacting the sport. 

The 2026-27 season will culminate with the 2027 Credit Union 1 Big West Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships, March 10-13 at Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada. Tickets are on sale HERE. Additional championship information is available at BigWest.org/2027.
