The Big West enters the 2026-27 season with 12 full member institutions: California Baptist, Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, CSUN, Long Beach State, Sacramento State, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara and Utah Valley. Hawai'i remains an affiliate member in beach volleyball, men's volleyball, and women's water polo. 

The league sponsors 19 sports, crowning a conference champion in each while awarding automatic NCAA Championship berths in all eligible sports. Fall competition begins on Wednesday, Aug. 12, with the opening day of women's soccer, while the first conference contests are slated for Wednesday, Sept. 23.
