2025-26 Commissioner's Honor Roll
A total of 2,734 student-athletes from 11 institutions across all 21-conference sponsored sports were named to the 2025-26 Big West Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
To be named to the honor roll, student-athletes must be on a team roster in a Big West-sponsored sport and were eligible for competition. There are three categories on the list based on GPA: Honor Roll (3.00-3.20), With Honors (3.21-3.50) and Highest Honors (3.51-4.00). The Faculty Athletics Representatives (FAR) of each of the 11 institutions submitted their lists to the conference office.
Since the 2022-23 academic year, the total awardees on the Commissioner's Honor Roll has increased by 469 student-athletes (nearly 21 percent) from 2,265 to 2,734.
Big West Commissioner
Dan Butterly commented, "The Big West Commissioner's Honor Roll reflects one of the defining strengths of our conference—that academic achievement remains a cornerstone of the student-athlete experience. We proudly celebrate these 2,734 student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional discipline, perseverance and commitment in balancing the demands of Division I competition with excellence in the classroom. Their accomplishments speak not only to their individual dedication, but also to the unwavering support provided by our member institutions, coaches, faculty and academic support staffs. We congratulate each of these outstanding student-athletes for setting a standard of excellence that extends far beyond the field of play."
UC San Diego had the most awardees in the conference with 353, with 190 receiving highest honors. UC Santa Barbara (327), UC Davis (290), Hawai'i (287) and CSUN (260) rounded out the top five.
