Several Big West Baseball Stars Recognized as Outlets Reveal 2026 Postseason Awards

Big West baseball student-athletes have picked up postseason recognition for their 2026 performances in recent days from different outlets.
 
On Wednesday, June 10, three Big West standouts were named NCBWA All-Americans. UC Santa Barbara starting pitcher Jackson Flora received First-Team accolades, while Cal Poly catcher Ryan Tayman and closer Nick Bonn are Third-Team honorees.
 
Flora went a perfect 12-0 with a national-leading 1.06 ERA and 133 strikeouts in 102.0 innings of work en route to earning All-Big West First Team and Pitcher of the Year honors. Tayman, an All-Big West First Team member and the Co-Field Player of the Year, slashed .352/.672/.447 from the plate and compiled 85 hits, 18 home runs, 19 doubles, 53 runs, 57 RBI on the season. Bonn, also an All-Big West First Team selection, led the nation in saves with 17 with a 3.44 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 49.2 innings.
 
Also on Wednesday, Perfect Game released its All-Americans, also with three from The Big West. Flora was placed on the First Team and Hawai‘i starting pitcher Isaiah Magdaleno and Bonn earned spots on the Third Team. Magdaleno went 7-5 with a 2.36 Era and 116 strikeouts in 95.1 innings on the mound and a member of the 2026 All-Big West First-Team.
 
On Tuesday, June 9, five players from the conference picked up ABCA/Rawlings All-West Region honors. Tayman and Flora are on the First Team, while Cal State Fullerton outfielder Paul Contreras, Magdaleno and Bonn were placed on the Second Team. Contreras, who was an All-Big West First Team and Co-Field Player of the Year selection, slashed .346/.441/.633 with 65 hits, 14 home runs, 45 RBI and 40 runs. 
 
Flora was named one of three NCBWA District 9 Players of the Year on Friday, June 5.
