- UC Irvine catcher/designated hitter Zach Crandall slashed .471/.571/.824 with eight hits, 11 RBI and four runs scored to win The Big West Baseball Field Player of the Week award. It is Crandall's first career weekly honor from the conference.
- The Anteater redshirt senior opened the weekend on Tuesday with a 3-for-4 performance, including a career-first home run, for three RBI and one run in a 9-4 win at San Diego.
- Crandall drove in three more runs and scored once in Friday's 17-5 series-opening victory at UC Riverside.
- The Ladera Ranch, Calif. native had another 3-for-4 effort with one run scored and three RBI in a 15-3 win in Saturday's game two at UC Riverside.
- In the final game of the week on Sunday at UC Riverside, Crandall drove in two runs and scored once.
- Crandall is currently hitting .352 with 15 RBI and 11 runs scored this season. UC Irvine is 23-26 overall and 12-15 in conference play.

- Hawai'i starting pitcher Isaiah Magdaleno threw eight innings of one-run ball to earn The Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week award. It is Magdaleno's third career weekly honor, having won it twice earlier this season.
- The right-handed starter threw 8.0 innings allowing one run, four hits and one walk, while collecting nine strikeouts, as the Rainbow Warriors defeated UC Davis 4-1 on Friday.
- The Los Angeles, Calif. product gave up just one hit over the first six innings, facing two batters over the minimum through six innings.
- Hawai'i is 25-21 overall and is currently tied for fourth in the league standings with a 14-13 league record. Magdaleno is 6-4 with a 2.59 ERA and 98 strikeouts in 80.0 innings of work on the mound this season.
