Field Player of the Week

- CSUN outfielder Matthew Thomas slashed .579/.600/.737 with 11 hits, six RBI and five runs scored in four games to win The Big West Baseball Field Player of the Week award. It is the second career weekly honor from the conference for Thomas, having won it once earlier this season.
- The junior started the week going 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored at Pepperdine, Tuesday night.
- Thomas picked up three more hits with one RBI and one run scored in Thursday's 7-2 series-opening win against Long Beach State.
- The outfielder from Garden Grove, Calif. concluded the week by driving in four runs in a 4-for-5 day at the plate, including a home run, to lead CSUN to an 18-4 rubber game victory against LBSU on Saturday.
- CSUN has a 17-13 overall record and an 8-7 league mark. Thomas is currently hitting .360 with 28 RBI and leading the conference in runs scored (33) and OPS (1.211).

Pitcher of the Week

- UC Santa Barbara starting pitcher Jackson Flora tossed a complete game shutout against Cal Poly to earn The Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week award. It is Flora’s third career weekly honor, having won it once last season and once earlier this year.
- In Thursday’s series-opening 6-0 road win against the Mustangs, the Gaucho righty scattered four hits and two walks, while striking out nine, agains an offense that entered the weekend leading The Big West in scoring and batting average.
- UC Santa Barbara swept Cal Poly in the series and is now 19-10 overall and 8-4 in conference play. Flora has not allowed a run in 34 consecutive innings and currently has an ERA of 0.69 with a 6-0 record and 65 strikeouts in 52.1 innings pitched.
