Gianna Nocetti of UC Davis Gains First Weekly Award of Career

  • 8137UC Davis attacker Gianna Nocetti powered the Aggies to an 11–8 win over No. 12 San José State, piling up four goals on six shots to headline the weekend at the Brigitte Donner Daws Memorial Invitational to take home The Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week, presented by Kap7. This is the first weekly distinction of the senior's career. 

  • Nocetti delivered a hat trick in the upset win and set the tone early by winning three sprints, finishing the match with a .667 shooting percentage and a .750 sprint clip.

  • Against No. 9 Fresno State, Nocetti stayed productive with two goals on four attempts and again claimed three sprints, matching the same .750 sprint percentage.

  • Overall, Nocetti has totaled 13 goals and seven assists while ranking among The Big West leaders in goals, points (20), and sprint wins (12-5), and national sprint percentage (.706).
