Agatha Weston of UH Wins First Weekly Award of 2026 Season

  • 25388Hawai‘i junior Agatha Weston returned to action emphatically, delivering a strong all-around performance at the Fresno State Polopalooza after a redshirt season to claim The Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week. This is the first weekly distinction of Weston's career. 

  • Weston finished the weekend with seven goals on .368 shooting, while also leading the team with eight steals and adding two field blocks as the Rainbow Wahine went 2–1 against three nationally ranked opponents.

  • The season opened up with a hat trick and three steals performance for Weston in a win over No. 12 San Jose State, followed by a career-high four goals against No. 5 California. 

  • Weston capped the tournament by setting another career best with four steals, helping Hawai‘i fend off No. 15 Michigan to close the weekend.
