Kendall Thomas has been named The Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week after shining bright for UC San Diego in its last two wins of the regular season. This is the first weekly distinction of the senior’s career.

The senior found the back of the net three times and added an assist for a total of four points in the Tritons 13-11 Big West finale versus UC Santa Barbara.

From there, Thomas tallied three four more scores alongside a steal and duo of drawn exclusions to highlight UCSD in its ninth straight win over cross-town foe San Diego State. For the third straight year, Thomas was chosen as the Carin Crawford Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the game.

Overall, the Merced, Calif. native has gathered 57 goals this season finishing ninth best in The Big West to conclude the regular season campaign. UCSD enters the 2025 Women’s Water Polo Championship as the No. 4 seed with a 4-3 record in conference play.
