UC Santa Barbara’s Annie Kuester Claims Player of the Week Accolade After Netting Five Scores

  • 25021Annie Kuester converted five of seven shots to lead all scorers against No. 7 UC Irvine to win this week’s rendition of The Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week. This is the first weekly distinction of the senior’s career.    

  • Despite the 11-13 setback, three of the utility's tallies either tied the game or gave the Gauchos the lead in the contest.   

  • The senior also drew four exclusions while recording a steal and a field block.   

  • Currently, Kuester leads UCSB with 47 total goals which also ranks eight bests in the league.
