Ema Vernoux scored a Hawai’i high 14 goals to lead the Rainbow Wahine to a 3-1 week and third place finish in the annual Babara Kalbus Tournament while squaring off against three of the top four teams in the nation. This is the freshman’s first career weekly honor.    

From there, the freshman found the back of the net another four times while netting the game-winning score with 42 seconds left in UH’s thrilling 12-11 victory over No. 4 California.  

The Marsielle, France native solidified a 51%.9 shooting percentage after scoring twice in a setback against top-ranked USC and recorded another foursome of scores in a historic 8-5 win over No. 3 UCLA. 

Currently, Vernoux ranks atop the Rainbow Wahine in goals (43), goals per game (3.3) and points (53) while simultaneously ranking third, second, and sixth overall in the respective categories across the league.
