Grand Canyon's Alex Volkov delivered a statement performance at the Kozan Trailblazer Invitational to pace the Lopes through a dominant, record-setting weekend. This is the first Big West weekly distinction of the senior's career.

Opened the meet with a 46.21 win in the 100 Back, hitting an NCAA Cut, resetting the pool and meet records, and posting the fastest time in The Big West by 1.32 seconds, before adding a winning 19.49 split in the record-breaking 200 Free Relay. From there, Volkov set the standard in the 400 Medley Relay with a 45.90 lead-off leg, lowering the pool record once again and helping the relay post a time that ranks 36th nationally in Division I.

Capped off the meet with a lifetime-best 43.21 to open the 400 Free Relay, powering GCU to additional pool and meet records and adding a runner-up finish in the 100 Free (43.36).
