Lillington of UC Davis, Cal State Fullerton’s Bengard Selected in 2026 MLS SuperDraft

All-Time Big West MLS Draft Selections
The Big West had two men's soccer standouts selected in Thursday’s 2026 MLS SuperDraft. UC Davis senior defender Zack Lillington was selected with the seventh overall pick to St. Louis CITY SC. Cal State Fullerton redshirt freshman midfielder/defender Aiden Bengard was picked 67th overall in the third round by Minnesota United FC. The draftees become the 58th and 59th Big West men's soccer players, respectively, to be selected in the history of the MLS SuperDraft.

Lillington is the sixth Aggie to be picked in the SuperDraft. The Fairfax, Calif. native was an All-Big West Second Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Far West Region Second Team selection this past season with three goals and three assists. UC Davis finished fifth in The Big West standings with a 4-3-2 league record and made it to the semifinals of the Big West Championship. Bengard is the third Titan to get the call in the SuperDraft. The Fullerton, Calif. product amassed one goal and two assists this past season. 

Two future Big West members, California Baptist and Utah Valley, also had selections in the SuperDraft. Utah Valley midfielder Isaac Emojong got the call with the 31st selection in the second round by D.C. United and California Baptist forward Blake D’Agostino was the 64th pick in the third round by Sporting Kansas City.
