Building on one of the most successful men’s and women’s seasons since the 1990’s, The Big West has announced that more than 350 men’s and women’s basketball games will be available nationally on the ESPN family of networks and Spectrum SportsNet during 2025-26 season.
“The Big West is building tremendous positive momentum in men’s and women’s basketball, and fans nationwide will have more opportunities than ever to experience it,” said Big West Commissioner Dan Butterly. “From game-winning shots to championship moments, we’re proud to showcase the players, programs and passion that make Big West basketball unforgettable.”
In 2025-26, all Big West men’s and women’s basketball games will stream nationally on ESPN+. Additionally, five regular-season matchups on ESPN2 or ESPNU highlight the schedule. This linear package begins on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 8 p.m. on ESPNU. All matchups selected through a “wildcard” format to be announced at least 10 days prior to each contest date. Big West teams return to action on ESPN for four Saturday dates, beginning on Saturday, February 7, at 7 p.m. on ESPNU, followed by Saturday, February 21, at 3 p.m. on ESPNU, Saturday, February 28 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2 and the season’s final day, Saturday, March 7 at 5 p.m. on ESPNU.
All seven games of the 2026 Big West Women’s Basketball Championship and the four early round matchups in the 2026 Big West Men’s Basketball Championship will also stream on ESPN+. Both Big West men’s semifinal matchups at the 2026 Big West Men’s Basketball Championship on Friday, March 13 and the championship game on Saturday, March 14 are available on ESPN Networks. Game times and networks to be announced at a later date.
In addition to its national coverage on ESPN platforms, The Big West will continue its regional partnership with Spectrum SportsNet for the fifth consecutive season. These games will also appear on the ESPN+ platform.
Spectrum SportsNet will air a total of 14 men’s and women’s games featuring all 11 men’s teams in action alongside six women’s programs from across the conference. The action tips off during the first week of conference play, dubbed “Bold Week”, when the reigning conference champion UC San Diego women’s team hosts Long Beach State at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 6.
Men’s action begins at 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2026, when Hawai`i and senior forward Gytis Nemeikša, a preseason All-Big West selection, travels to SRC Arena to face UC Riverside under the direction of new head coach Gus Argenal.
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Spectrum SportsNet and bring Big West basketball into more homes across our region,” said Butterly. “Spectrum SportsNet’s coverage captures the rivalries, rising stars and championship energy that define The Big West. Together, we’re giving fans a front-row seat to one of the most competitive and exciting basketball conferences in America.”
