Dorottya Telek Dots List as First Player of the Week in 2025 Following 14 Goal Effort for CSUN

  • 8012Senior center Dorottya Telek takes home the first rendition of the 2025 Big West Women's Water Polo Weekly Award after a high scoring performance for CSUN. Overall, this is the fifth time Telek has tallied a weekly accolade after doing so once in 2024 (March 30, 2022) | (Feb. 15, 22, 2023), | (Feb. 14, 2024).  

  • Telek tied the senior's single game program record in goals (9) while also adding two assists and three takeaways in CSUN's 17-9 opening triumph versus Cal State Monterey Bay. 

  • The Budapest, Hungary native notched five more tallies against Azusa Pacific later in the day alongside two assists and four steals in a 16-11 win. CSUN never trailed in the contest, largely in part of Telek. The Matadors are off to a fast 2-0 start. 
  • Overall, Telek racked up 18 total points after finding the back of the net 14 times and dishing out four assists. The senior finished with seven steals on opening weekend.  

  • Telek is the program leader in career goals, after scoring 286 times in 88 game appearances.
