In a bold scheduling strategy for the 2024-25 season, The Big West is moving to an 11-week league slate with the addition of Bold Week from December 5-7, 2024. 

Both the men and women will begin conference action to open the month to improve both the fan and student-athlete experience, adding early season intrigue in December while eliminating three-game weeks. The revised schedule also allows for a consistent Thursday/Saturday format for the entirety of Big West action.

“Following the desires of the membership to continue with a true 20-game round-robin format The Big West made the bold step to schedule the first conference games of the season in the first week of December,” noted Big West commissioner Dan Butterly. “We see this as an opportunity for our fans and programs to experience the best of both worlds. Fans get a bit of an early preview of conference action while our programs get to play a full slate of both league and non-league competition without the stress of three-game weeks during the conference season."
