Fact: A record-setting three Big West teams were selected for the 2024 National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship, with Big West champion Hawai’i joined by league runner-up Long Beach State and highest-seeded conference squad Cal Poly in the 17-team field. Cal Poly advanced to the semifinal round which was a first in program history. |

Fact: 2025 marks the first Big West Championship event for softball. Cal State Fullerton edged Long Beach State for the regular-season title on the season’s final weekend in 2024 to earn a 32nd appearance in the NCAA Tournament. |

Location: Goodwin Field | Fullerton, Calif.
Championship Format: Top five teams competing. Seed Nos. 4 and 5 play a single-elimination game before meeting the No. 1 seed in the four-team, double-elimination bracket.
Defending Champions: UC Santa Barbara
Fact: This season will have the first Big West Championship event since 1998, which capped a string of four postseason events in the conference. Regular-season champion UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine each earned a spot in the NCAA Baseball Championship in 2024. UCSB has earned a post-season berth in four of the last five post-season championships. |
