UC Santa Barbara starting pitcher Tyler Bremner threw eight innings of shutout ball against Cal State Fullerton to claim The Big West Pitcher of the Week award. It is the Bremner's first career weekly honor.

In an eventual 4-0 team victory in the series finale, the righty scattered two hits with one walk and compiled seven strikeouts over eight frames. Bremner did not allow more than one baserunner in an inning and was perfect over the sixth, seventh and eighth frames to wrap up a career-long outing.

The win cemented UC Santa Barbara's series sweep over the Titans, a feat that had not been accomplished since 1986.

UC Santa Barbara is 28-11 overall and tied for first in The Big West with a 14-4 in conference record. Bremner is 8-0 with a 2.50 ERA and has 62 strikeouts in 54.0 innings pitched this season.
